What are the requirements for Leasing a Vehicle in Truckspot?

- ID of the Legal Representative that will sign the contract
- Valid driver's licence approved by the ATTT (driver history will be reviewed)
- Foreign citizens only with residence in the Republic of Panama
Does one need to leave some guarantee when picking up a vehicle at Truckspot?
It is compulsory to leave a security deposit (according to the type of Leasing) paid by Credit Card
Signing of the Lease Agreement
Payment of the agreed rate against the signing of the Lease Agreement
Personal checks, cash, or debit cards are not accepted except to cancel a final bill.
What are the valid payment methods at Truckspot?
- Credit Card: Visa or Mastercard
- Certified Checks according to the type of Leasing
Who can Rent a Truck?
At Truckspot we only rent to solo arrendamos a Personas Jurídicas debidamente registradas.
How old should the driver be?
25 years old and older
What type of driver's license do you need to have to lease a truck?
One approved by Panama's ATTT according to the truck.
Does Truckspot have drivers for the transportation service?
Our company deals with rental of vehicles but does not offer a transportion service with drivers.
What coverage does the Truckspot Fleet have?
All of our fleet has coverage for damages to third parties, however our customers may add the rental vehicle to their Fleet Policy or Process an exclusive Policy for the lease and add it to the contract.
In the case of long-term rentals (monthly and/or annual) they can negotiate the cost of a policy with full coverage within the rate.
Are there Any Additional Charges for Renting a Vehicle?
Our vehicles have a maximum of miles or kilometers traveled depending on the type of rental.
The vehicles are delivered with the fuel tank full, and must be returned under the same conditions. Otherwise you will have an extra charge for refueling.
Can I take the vehicle out of the country?
No. The rental vehicles cannot cross the borders of Panama.
¿What can I do if the rented vehicle suffers an accident?
- Do not accept settlements, or take any responsibility for the accident.
- Notify the Transit and Land Transport Authority (ATTT in spanish) so they send an agent and proceed to fill the police report.
- Report immediately to our offices or transportation consultants.
- Take photographs of the vehicles involved and the location of the accident. Try to draw a sketch.
- If no one is injured and the car can still be driven, take it away from the roadway to avoid obstructing traffic.
- Once the ATTT agent completes his/her report, please come to our offices to complete an internal incident report
What should I do if I need to extend my lease contract?
You should contact our offices and/or send an email to info@truckspot.com.pa in order to request extension of the leasing.
Coordinate the payment of the extension of days of leasing
